Day Camp: July 12 – 15,
8am to 5pm (Mon-Wed), 8am to 12 (Thurs) at Lord of Life.
Creation Kids: On
Sunday mornings during the summer, children begin in worship with their
families and are excused after the Children’s message.
Children will then meet in two age groups for learning and activities
based on the worship texts for the day. Some activities may be
messy, so dress accordingly.
Tending the Garden
- Creation Care Activities for all Ages: Experiential learning
activities. Sundays 10:45-11:30am; Wednesdays 7:00-7:45pm.
New Members Class -
An eight-week series focusing on the basics of our faith as presented
in Luther’s Small Catechism and the Bible. Informal,
non-threatening, faith and relationship building. Led by Pastor
Darrell. Fall class begins September 8. Childcare provided upon
request.
God’s Kids:
Education Ministry for 3 year olds - 6th graders. Sunday mornings
and Wednesday Evenings beginning September 19 and 22.
Our first age group (typically 3-year-olds) is called Little
Lambs. The Little Lamb class for 2010—11 is for children
who will begin Kindergarten in the fall of 2012. This is a
conscious effort to have kids start God’s Kids with their future
classmates. There will be a Little Lamb orientation for kids and
parents on Thursday, September 16 from 6pm – 7pm at church.
A special Little Lamb Blessing will be offered during the 10:30am
worship service on Sunday, September 19 and during the 6pm worship
service on Wednesday, September 22. Click

Kid’s Church:
Sunday mornings September to May. An interactive, fun-filled way to
learn God’s message through the use of puppets, storytelling, and
games; For 3 yr olds – 6th graders.
Confirmation:
7-10th graders. Meet for worship and service throughout the
year. Attend retreats and elective courses. Confirmation of 10th
graders is on Reformation Sunday (October 31, 2010). For more

Habitat for Humanity: Lakes Area
Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of the international, nonprofit,
Christian housing ministry dedicated to eliminating poverty housing and
homelessness. For information on current projects, contact Laurie

Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen:
Lord of Life serves the second Sunday of each month from 12:00-2:00

Quilters: Newcomers
and inexperienced quilters are welcome! Meets Thursdays mornings at

Prayer Shawl Ministry:
Knit (or crocheted) Prayer Shawls provide comfort and solace to those
in need. Shawls are given to people who are chronically ill,
isolated, homebound, have cancer, are coping with grief and
loss, or simply having stressful times. Prayers and blessings are knit
into every shawl. Meets quarterly. Lessons are available for

Brainerd Lakes Area
Interfaith Hospitality Network (BLAIHN): Thirteen Brainerd
Lakes Area churches provide temporary housing for homeless families
with children. Lord of Life partners with Lutheran Church of the
Cross in Nisswa as a host for one week every calendar quarter: August
15–21. Many volunteer positions are available during the assigned

Group: Open to persons dealing with an eating disorder.

of coffee, the particular joys and struggles of motherhood, feast
together on a word of hope, and find yourself washed in God’s

LOLLY (Lots of Living Left
Yet): For seniors (55+). Meets at Lord of Life on the
