New Members Class
- An eight-week series focusing on the basics of our faith as presented
in Luther’s Small Catechism and the Bible. Informal,
non-threatening, faith and relationship building. Led by the
Pastors. Winter classes begin January 5, 6:30-8:00 p.m.
Childcare provided upon request.
God’s Kids:
Education Ministry for 3 year olds - 6th
graders. Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings
September-May.
3 yrs-2nd grades. Uses The
Akaloo Curriculum; learn about being a disciple and following Jesus.
3rd – 6th
grades. Uses Bible Song Curriculum; learn scripture through art, song
and movement.
Kid’s Church:
9:00 – 10:15 a.m. Sundays - An
interactive, fun-filled way to learn God’s message through the
use of puppets, storytelling, and games; For 3 yr olds – 6th
graders, September-May.

7-8th graders meet regularly

9th Graders Choose a
one-on-one faith mentor for core and elective courses throughout the

10th Graders meet for worship and

Adult Bible Study – "What does
this mean?" Sunday mornings 10:15-11:30 a.m. and Wednesday evenings
7:00-7:45 p.m. Led by the preaching pastor. Kid's Camp offered during
these times.

Habitat for
Humanity: Lakes Area Habitat for Humanity is an affiliate of the
international, nonprofit, Christian housing ministry dedicated to
eliminating poverty housing and homelessness. For information on

Sharing Bread Soup Kitchen: Lord of
Life serves the second Sunday of each month from 12:00-2:00 p.m.

Quilters: Newcomers and inexperienced
quilters are welcome! Meets Thursdays mornings at 9:00 at Lord of Life

Prayer Shawl Ministry:
Knit (or crocheted) Prayer Shawls provide comfort and
solace to those in need. Shawls are given to people who are chronically
ill, isolated, homebound, have cancer, are coping with
grief and loss, or simply having stressful times. Prayers and blessings
are knit into every shawl. Meets quarterly. Lessons are
available for anyone who wants to learn! For more

Brainerd Lakes Area Interfaith Hospitality
Network (BLAIHN): Thirteen Brainerd Lakes
Area churches provide temporary housing for homeless families with
children. Lord of Life partners with Lutheran Church of the Cross
in Nisswa as a host for one week every calendar quarter – August
30-September 6 and November 22-29. Many volunteer positions are
